I am using Windows 7 and the GE version appears to be 7.Google Earth is a downloadable software solution that comprises satellite imagery and maps with most locations around the world, giving you the power to browse all of them straight from your desktop.

Has anyone else has these problems or is it unique to me? Also might it be the case that Google has actually ended the function of GE morphing into Streeview when you zoom into a location? I thought this might be a software glitch in the most recent update but every time I have tried to install GE to see if this problem had gone it is still there but for some reason after uninstalling GE I end up with many gigabytes of new data (usu around 50 gigs but this time the amount is around 15 gigs) on my harddrive which is annoying in itself, which I can't get rid of although in the past this data suddenly disappeared. I also found that since this started, when I closed down GE and tried to reopen it I was unable to do so unless I rebooted my computer. I did notice an icon on the right is the screen which seems to be an icon to go into Streetview mode so I tried that but all that does is give a ground-level blurred image and does not morph into Streeview.

I then did a system restore and found that this solved the problem, presumably because it went back to a previous version of GE, but only for a short time and the above issue started again and eventually a system restore ceased solving the problem. I did an uninstall and re-install of GE but the problem persisted. One day, without warning, when I opened Google Earth when i got to the distance of when Streetview kicked in, the zooming in got slower and slower and eventually stopped. However, one day recently this suddenly stopped. Until recently, when I zoomed in on a location when using GE and got to a certain distance the overhead image suddenly morphed into Streetview and I was then able to travel along the road like I actually in the Google car. Recently, I found that i could no longer access Streetview when using Google Earth (GE).
